In early October 2023, RE-ZIP, along with partners InPost, RAJA Belgium, Boozt, LABELS, and Mily Technologies, kickstarted a three-year EU LIFE project, ‘EU Circular Packaging Infrastructure’. The goal of the project is to revolutionize the e-commerce industry by making circular packaging the new standard, replacing single-use alternatives.
The agenda was set for all parties to come together and initiate the project, marking the pivotal beginning in the pursuit of a widespread adoption of circular packaging practices throughout Europe.
The EU Circular Packaging Infrastructure Project aims to test and validate a circular packaging concept for e-commerce, providing a sustainable alternative to disposable packaging. RE-ZIP’s collaboration with strategic partners seeks to create a more sustainable e-commerce landscape by introducing circular packaging concepts in multiple countries.
The project’s ultimate objective is to establish an efficient return infrastructure capable of circulating reusable e-commerce packaging at a lower cost than producing single-use alternatives. This transformative approach aims to shift the entire e-commerce industry away from the prevalent use of disposable packaging, and making ‘REUSE BEFORE RECYCLE’ the new standard for everyone.
