EU Commissioner Visits RE-ZIP at LOOP Forum Copenhagen

In late April, RE-ZIP Director for Northern Europe Daniel Nygaard and CEO Louise Meier welcomed Jessika Roswall, EU Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, to the RE-ZIP stand at LOOP Forum in Copenhagen.

The visit gave the Commissioner a first-hand look at how the EU LIFE Programme has co-funded the rollout of RE-ZIP’s reusable cardboard packaging — and how that support is building real circular infrastructure across Europe.

From the forum floor

LOOP Forum brought together businesses, policymakers and innovators around a shared goal: keeping packaging in circulation rather than in the bin. At the event, RE-ZIP:

  • Met with businesses exploring the economic case for switching from single-use to reusable packaging
  • Took the stage to share the realities of building a circular start-up — including the honest challenges of scaling circular solutions
  • Connected with partners and policymakers advancing the shift toward a circular economy

 Rising Star recognition

LOOP Forum was also a reminder of the recognition LIFE RE-ZIP received at the LIFE Awards 2025, where the project was awarded the Rising Star Award for its contribution to the circular economy.

We are grateful to the EU LIFE Programme and CINEA for their continued support — and to LOOP Forum for creating the space where business, policy and innovation meet.
